Bold 9700

I just upgraded to software 6.0 bundle 2921 which I installed. Here is my dilemma, the screen is frozen with the text

"THIS HANDHELD DEVICE INCLUDES".......etc. I have pulled the battery to reset the device all to no avail. As well the track pad does not function. Some problem solving would be appreciated.

Is this a white screen?

It's black w/white lettering. In behind, in can see what would appear the normal white screen with the header bar accross the top

Correct...terms & conditions. The last line in part reading"interfaces, protocals and other".

There is usually a box to seclect OK or Accept or the like for that. If it's not coming up then it's possible something corrupted it. You may need to reinstall the OS again. Not sure what else to do.

If I could only scroll down....the track pad is frozen.  I have pulled the battery to reset the OS, all to no avail.

 

It came with the old 5.0 OS. Is that version still available as a download?

Yes, and I would recommend OS5 for that device anyway. OS6 was too much of a memory hog for the 9700.

You will need to uninstall any new OS's from your PC and then download and install OS5 from your carrier.
