I've been having an ongoing issue with my Bold 9780 for the past few weeks. The phone was originally purchased in August, and the issue first appear around the start of September.
My issue is, in BBM, I am unable to send any images taken with the camera on the phone itself. I can access the send image menu, and select the image I wish to send, but when trying to actually click the send button, i am unable to do so.
Sending images works correctly when sending a text message, just not in BBM
In trying to diagnose and correct this issue, I did the following:
- Battery pull while BBM was running, no luck
- Hard reset, no luck
- Checked and ensured that no encryption was being used, no luck
- Registering Host Routing Tables, no luck
- Renewing/registering the Service Books, no luck
- Uninstalling any 3rd party apps, again no luck
After some discussion, I tried a system restore, and software upgrade which fixed the issue for a few weeks, however the issue has started again.
I'm unsure as to what to do next, as I'm afraid another restore/upgrade may fix it, but only temporarily. And that sending it in for repairs may not find the true issue with the device. Lastly, would it be advisable to try a Jl_cmder reflash of the BB in hopes that it could correct it?
Any suggestions or comments as to what I can try next?
