Bold 9780 hanging Problem

i observed 2 to 3 times...when i watching videos on youtube.

if any email is getting at that time then my blackberry is hang...

so waht is wrong with my device can i replace device (i bought last week)

Sorry to hear you are having an issue with your BlackBerry® Bold™ 9780 smartphone.

 

Does your device display any error when this hang happens? If so, what is that error?

 

Does it only hang when you receive an email or does it happen when you receive an SMS, BBM™ or any other sort of notification?

 

Is this hanging only occurring when you are watching YouTube® videos or does it happen if you were listening to music? 

 

If you were to change your sounds profile to Silent, would this same hang happen?

I m get shock IS THIS BLACKBERRY SERVICE REALLY..

Lets come to my Problem.

hanging only occurring when i am  watching YouTube® videos @ that  time get any messasge,email etc..

While your earlier post was graced with the rare reply from a RIM employee, these forums are in no way associated with your formal support. ALL of your services and formal support originate with your carrier and/or authorized reseller. These forums are a user-to-user community of volunteers who attempt to help out as best they can. Sometimes, in living their lives, these volunteers may take longer to get back on some items...or perhaps just don't know the answer. So I request you to please temper your "shock" as to the level of service you received here...for there is absolutely no service level commitment here...none whatsoever. If you want formal support, you must follow the proper channels for that.

 

That said, please provide answers to all of the intelligent questions you were asked in post 2 above...those will be useful in attempting to diagnose your issues. You answered some, but not all of those...

 

As to your original question regarding replacement, only your warranty service provider can answer that question...and that is your original place of purchase and/or your carrier. Your contract is with them, not with RIM.

helo sir i have a bb 9780 ...there is a hanging problem in  my cell and it occcurs automatically at any time.. sometimes when a call in disconnected and sometimes wheen i open a file.......plz tell me wht can i do?/

Hi and Welcome to the Community!

I recommend that you attempt to boot into Safe Mode:

  • KB17877 How to start a BlackBerry smartphone in Safe Mode

It may take you multiple attempts to get the ESC key sequence (press/release/hold) correct, so be patient. When successfully into Safe Mode, see what happens.

If the behavior ceases, then think carefully...what happened just before this behavior started? A new app? An update? A Theme? Something else? Think carefully as the smallest change could be causal...and attempt to undo whatever that was.



But if the behavior continues in Safe Mode, then you may need to consider more drastic actions -- WIPE, OS Reload, BBSAK Wipe/Reload, and the "Bare Bones" OS Reload Process. To prepare, you should be sure that you have a full backup to your PC...please review the Backup link in my auto-sig on this post for instructions.
