Re: Bold 9900 Battery Life

The answer is yes. You can put any OS on your phone you want.

***AS LONG AS YOU BACKED UP***

Unfortunately to do a roll back you will probably have to backup, wipe the handset, remove the unwanted OS from your pc, then install the one you want onto your pc.

Plug in your newly wiped phone. Once it picks up install as prompted.

Its is an easy process for someone who is slightly technical. If not there are instruction but do it with care.

However there are always those of us here to give you help and advice.

Re: Bold 9900 Battery Life

I have tried .540, .579, now .585. All has diff pattern of discharge but all has same overall disage rate. At the end none can last a lot over 6 hrs. Right at the time I'm at a spot where there is no outlet to recharge.

Re: Bold 9900 Battery Life

Wwwwatch. To give you a laugh. There is a guy claiming on one of the forums he is getting 26 hours from a 9900 with a .540/585 hybrid.

We reckon he has had the phone on with no networks attached. :smileyhappy:

Re: Bold 9900 Battery Life

I agree with the battery discharge paterns being all over the place but also as everyone uses a phone differently its hard to say which OS is better.

Also in my above post, when I said any OS. I did of course mean any OS specifically for the 9900. :smileyhappy:

Re: Bold 9900 Battery Life

Base on the discharge patterns being random for diff OS, it shows that SW engineers at RIM is still fishing around and still has not clue on how to fix the issue.

That's at least twice mine as well. Lol

Lots of guys are just trying to create the best hybrid of all the released ones but we are doing RIMs jobs for them.
