Re: Bold 9900 Battery Life

I have already done a report for my website http://berrylicio.us regarding the 3000mAh batteries. The size is too big and the replacement back panels don't fit on correctly.

It appears the OS 7.1 release will have better development but we are still awaiting a decent leak to test. Keep your eyes on the forums and it will appear soon. Fingers crossed!!

:smileyhappy: that's amazing battery time. Are you running 2g? And what apps? I don't know of anyone who gets more than 14hrs a day and that's even with hybrid OS's.

Re: Bold 9900 Battery Life

Just for the record I had .585 on for a week from a full wipe. Most I got from my phone was 13 hrs with normal everyday use.

Currently on .590 and its almost the same.

Re: Bold 9900 Battery Life

I'm on 585. It is still lasting approx 6 hrs (on 2/3G, no wifi) for me. It has the instant 8% battery drop as well. POS!

I have used those extended battery (3500mAh). Very weird, I think the phone's SW limits it's capacity.

What I mean is that the 1st or 2nd time usage I get 24+ hours. Then after that it would react just like factory battery. Even the discharge graph is the same.

I have to switch back to factory battery for a few days then back to the extended ones to get full use again.

Re: Bold 9900 Battery Life

WWW, have you tested any of the OS's and batteries in a different handset yet?

Could be the fact you may have a faulty device?

Re: Bold 9900 Battery Life

An extended battery should not be limited by the phones software.

The handset would have to work twice as hard to dischard a larger capacity battery quicker so don't think that would be the case.

More likely the extended battery is faulty or not up to standards for your Blackberry.

.576,.579,.585 and .590 are all now being released by carriers. All show improvements in different ways. But all still don't hit the expectations of a lot of peoples for the battery life.
