RIM haven't released a new battery and I doubt will, however seidio have just released an official 3000mah battery for the 9900/9930. Looks good.

That's encouraging news Ian !!   Have  you tested it ?  Is it available to the general public ?

Current pricing it a bit steep at $65 or so just now cant justify the layout when I am happy with my current battery life.

Still waiting for my Gold battery I was testing the other week to be replaced. Although I don't hold out much hope.

Sorry guys and gals, I have been a bit slow on the update on this one,

Had it one since the moment it appeared. Has now been officially released by 3 networks, all in Thailand which is odd, but it now includeds the Resource monitor option which shuts down applications that are hanging.

From the 3 days I have used it it blows .428 out the water with the reliability and battery life.

Even if you have 428 already I would say this is worth the jump.

It's good to see that there will be a higher capacity battery released soon and that the newer software is helping even more with the battery life.

Just a quck question though, the 9790 has the same battery and a lower processor and people are complaining of worse battery life compared to the 9900. Can this be true?
