Re: Bold 9900 Battery Life

One hand typing was a lot easier with the 97xx phones. Not so wide. I do miss that but having had the 9000 before I am glad to be back to the wide keyboard. Smiley Happy

Ah..   I'm ok with just the keyboard being locked when I'm moving about. Saves pocket dialing Smiley Happy   A big problem here in Canada is 911 emergency being pocket dialed by mobile phones several times daily and they always have to follow-up on these calls no matter what !

Re: Bold 9900 Battery Life

With fairly large thumbs it is easier to find the keys.

Also when it comes to the charger I just charged mine from almost empty to showing 99+ on the battery in under 30mins.

Re: Bold 9900 Battery Life

Apologies for this being completely off topic - but those in this thread seem very quick to respond, and very honestly.

BBM tells you if it has been 'D' delivered, and 'R' read.

So if the persons phone is off, 'D' won't appear, and you know their phone is off.

Does it do something similar in WhatsApp?  Because I jsut sent a message to a friend on it, both of us on BBs, her phone was off, but I got two TICKS for the message.

Anyone know??

Re: Bold 9900 Battery Life

Two ticks means it has been delivered on the phone.. Normally... But then as I said before whatsapp should not be relied upon as when it comes to these kind of things... Sometimes it bugs!

(If you both have bb's why use whatsapp? Just out of curiosity :-))

@jsbrown88
Because I am still weighing up the differences for my own usage, between a Bold 9900 and the iPhone 4S. I'd have to use only WA and not BBM if I switched.

Re: Bold 9900 Battery Life

Btw guys, I was on whatsapp solidly for several hours with about 5, 10 min of surfing this site in between.

The first 30 min the phone consumes batt at a rate of 16% per hours.. Then the following two hours had 20% and then increased to 22+% per hour rate.

I'm on 7.1.0.190 with battery plus. This seem normal?
