I am having the same problem. I left my phone to charge over night woke up to a red blinking LED. tried all the suggestions including loading the OS through loader.exe /nojvm command but the phone fails to reconnect in the step that says "Waiting for device initialization".
I tried a new battery fully charged and still the same issue. Also, I tried the battery from my phone on another 9900 and the battery seemed to work. Please help as i am travelling I am not able to take it to Verizon store as they would like to inspect it to see that its defective ![]()

agree. no one from RIM seems to have an answer. wonder what they are hiding.

They are definitely hiding that they put out a device that was NOT ready to be released. At least have the decency to do a recall or something.

@totallygone : is exactly that !
I am disappointed of RIM

As per a large number of threads on this exact issue ... it has affected a lot of users, and there is no solution other than sending the phone off for repair.
Surely the carriers are unhappy about having to handle such a massive amount of returns!
