Good morning everyone,

My phone details:

BlackBerry Bold 9900

OS: 7.1.0.569

Problem:

Since I updated my BB to OS 7.1 changing brightness settings doesn take effekt any more! I always change my brightness settings to 10% and turn the dim OFF. With OS 7.0 it did work but since I have OS 7.1 installed on my Bold changing the settings doesn't take any effect...mostly the BB runs the display with 100% brightness and dim is always ON turning on BatterySave mode to always doesn't change anything as well...

Already wiped, updated my Bold (and pulled battery) xxx times, with and without restoring backup -> nothing has changed!

Anyone out there with the same problem? Any suggestions?

I have the same issue. Tried a CTRL-ALT-DEL and the intensity is still 100%. 

I installed a 32GB memory card on the weekend.  Wonder if this caused the intensity issue. Will remove the memory later. Updated to 7.1 build 2108 (v7.1.0.746) recently, however don't recall the brightness issue immediately after the sw update.

Removed the 32GB micro SD card and now the intensity control works just fine.   One would think that this should be a common occurance for tonnes of people.  I can't be the only person who's added memory to a phone?
