Bold 9900 - NO FIX FOUND, WONT TURN ON

Hello,

 

I had my second hand working Bold 9900 sent to me from overseas, the phone was working fully just before packaging. When I got my device a week later (with battery in it) the phone would show the red light at random patterns, it simply doesnt turn on, no error. just a black screen. Tried support for over 3 hours on phone and done apploader etc. Even sent in to repair shops. They couldn't fix it.

 

How does a fully functional phone blackout after a week in a box????

 

 

PLEASE HELP ME!!!

Hello,

 

Normally, I am reluctant to second-guess any shops that have had their hands on the device...typically, they know what they are doing, and internet-distance diagnostics and repair recommendations can never substitute for what was done in-hand. But, you've not said what they actually tried, so I suggest this sequence...note that, throughout the entire 4h15m process, your BB must remain connected to a known-good wall charger (not PC USB):

  1. With the battery inside, connect your BB to the wall charger
  2. Leave it alone for 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the display does
  3. Remove the battery
  4. Wait 15 minutes
  5. Insert the battery
  6. Wait another 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the display does

This has been known to "kick start" some BBs.




It is also possible that your battery or BB has experienced a problem...to test, this sequence is needed:

  1. Obtain a known good and already fully charged additional battery...use it in your BB and see what happens
  2. Obtain access to a known good and identical BB...use your battery in it and see what happens

The results of this will indicate if it's your BB or your battery that has the problem.

Battery was done as said already, and I handed it in to another repair shop... I will try this, also tried app loader no jvm bb desktop and all software related things, cell fix place did the same and also tried using a special machine...
