Im really feeling very disapointed with BB

I had 9700 before it was very good, now i have 9900 which restarts like crazy, i can not rely on it anymore.

1- During Calls

2- While its in the pouch

3- while its idle out of the pouch

i witnessed it once the device was idle, nothing going on, and suddnly it powered off, and then started once again on its own, and in the middle of the restart it restarted again, and then booted up.

That happened with all the OS, even OS6 :s... any help to identify the issue is much appreciated.

Have you tried with a different battery? Does it do it while plugged in and charging?

No, but here is what i did.

1- the battery is very good, because i tested my friend's battery and the same happened again.

2- i haven't tested having the same on the charger, because i will have to leave the device plugged in for almost 2-3 weeks (hopefully it happens)

Ok, I understand you tested with another battery and the problem still occurs. That rules out the battery (most likely).

I don't understand your second point, though. Why would you have to wait 2-3 weeks? When you say it reboots like crazy, does that mean it reboots once every 2-3 weeks?

That was metaphore

Somedays the device reboots several times per day (4-5 times per day), and somedays nothing happens.

Is there anyway to extract somesort of logs to see what was happening before the device reboot on its own ?

On the home screen type ALT + LGLG to bring up the logs.

Do you have any 3rd party apps installed? if so, try this. Remove the battery. While holding down the back key, reinsert the battery and continue to hold the back key for another 20 seconds or so. That will boot the device in safe mode with no 3rd party apps running. Don't use any of your 3rd party apps and see if the reboots continue. If they do, then you may want to get the device replaced under warranty (if less than a year old) by your carrier.
