I am currently running a software update on my bold 9900 but it is stuck on 17% - is there anything I can do to stop this update or speed it up?
It did say it could take a few hours but its moved 1% in an hour!
Cheers guys

Personally I'd give it another half hour before cancelling or disconnecting.
Are you upgrading through the Desktop Software or over-the-air wirelessly direct to the handheld device?

It won't let me cancel it, I have tried rebooting my phone but just goes back to 0% and no buttons work to exit the update.
I'm not using the desktop software.
Think it's just a case of having to leave it until it's complete which could be hours!

Personally, I would NEVER do the over the air wireless upgrade... there's just too much to mess up and too easy for it to happen.
ALWAYS do a backup of your own first, using the BlackBerry Desktop Software.

I shall just leave it running now until I get home then will plug it into my desktop software as I can't cancel it and when I reboot my phone, the software update just starts again :-(
