2. Go to Options and select View Contact
3. Click on any of your recent activities you had with them that involves texting.
Problem should be solved! ^^

Not true. Mine is updated with the same problem. But the 'view recent history' trick seems to get around it, albeit in a ridiculous way for such a 'smart' phone provider. Pretty disappointed I chose this over a droid and I'm stuck wait a year and a half before I upgrade and bail on this failing company...

It happened to my dad's brand new 9900 and I just restarted the phone (left alt + right caps + del together). It's fine now.

Well, it didn't solve it. Its also happenning to random emails. Thanks anyway. Seems like a software issue because i can scroll up/down normally in other apps. Good thing i can still scroll using the touchscreen. I paid almost 5 bills for this phone. Disappointed.

Well I rebooted my phone and now it scrolls properly again. Yay!

OK so within a few minutes, the scrolling problem returned. I discovered that what was causing it was the LiveProfile app which runs in the background. When I uninstalled it, the scrolling went back to normal. I think it has a memory leak. So for those of you having the same problem, try uninstalling an app that is running in the background.

My BlackBerry Bold will not scroll in all fields. By that I mean...it functions fine, up
down left right, on some screens, others I need to use the tedious touch screen to get the
cursor where I need it.
Also, typing a number in text is now no longer a matter of holding the alt key, then
hitting the number. I have to tap alt, then tap the number. For multiple numbers, this is
ridiculous.
Why would the cursor be scrolling fine, and smoothly, on some fields / screens, but not
all? The fact that it works fine on some screens indicates this is not a hardware problem,
but a software one.
This just..."changed" overnight which is the maddening thing about this issue. I touched
nothing, changed nothing, it just.... doesn't fully work now.
I have tried battery pull and reloading a backup from 3 days prior, no joy.
