Hello, I've been surfing the web and have heard of numerous complaints regarding the Bold 9900 and keys that just happen to fall of while sliding the phone into it's case, I've had my phone for about 8 months now and just today I noticed after making a text and inserting my phone into it's case, then taking it back out again that my "Return" key was missing, I've called AT&T and RIM but they're both saying there is no coverage for keys that fall off. I've read a post where someone posted this link: http://www.bgr.in/manufacturers/rim/rim-acknowledg

3. Who did you talk to with RIM?

I was given a (877) by at&t, which i then spoke to BB's tech department. I don't know the month or year my phone was made, could that be something that i can locate on the phone itself? I removed the battery and found no such info, where can i locate that info? thanks for your help

I know you said you called AT&T, but can you take it to the store to see what your repair options are?

Do you know when you purchased it?
Did you look on the white sticker under the battery?
On the sticker on the box?

I just checked the white sticker under the battery and I didn't find anything resembling a date on it. Just made in mexico, but on the box there's a sticker that has "230112". The Item was purchased in Feb of this year. And apparently the AT&T support store that i went to this evening told me it would be considered "physical damage" and not covered, i would have to pay the price of the phone to replace it, they then offered a contractors number who could possibly fix it for less. those were my only options with AT&T.

Do go to a store, try calling and explain the warranty thing. See if you can get the issue escalated to RIM level Tier Two tech support.
