Bold 9900 and BMW are not working

Hello and greetings from germany,

 

my nearly new 330d and my brandnew Bold 9900 are not working togehther, after some minutes the phone freezes, calls are interrupted and the phoen is disconnected. My old BB 9700 workes fine with my car. I treid every option I found, without any effects.

 

As I see, this is not a BMW.Problem, my provider told me, that are the same problems with Audi/VW and many other cars. I really can´t understand, why RIM makes no tests with cars, that are used by a lot of people in business.

 

Has anyone (perhaps RIM) found a solution for the problem?

Hi

I had the same problem.....I used to use a BB Torch and bought a new 9900. I have an X5 and I was about to throw the phone away. I finally figured out that it was the device switch wizard in the desktop manager that was causing all the problems. I backed up my phone, security wiped the device and only restored my contacts,browser bookmarks, calender items and text messages......I didn't use the device switch functionality to transfer my settings. Everything is now working perfectly!! Hope this helps..
