Bold 9900 and Nissan Connect

I previously owned a Bold 9700 and when I used Bluetooth Audio it kept cutting out/skipping.  I got the new Bold 9900 and it does the same thing.  Other phones work ok on the system ok and other bluetooth audio devices suffer the same problem with cutting out/skipping.  Any ideas on how I might fix this?  Forums have suggested replacing the cod file  but I don't know how to do this.
