Sorry for your problems, however its such a relief that I'm not the only one having this identical issue. Trying to speak to Vodafone and the Data support centre has been frustrating at the least. After starting the complaint in January 12, I received a new replacement BB 9900 today. Tried to pair with my Audi MMI and still the same issue. My Curve 8530 connects without issue via rSAP with no issues.
Waiting in anticipation to see if your efforts on software updates sort the issue.

Good evening all!
Halas I do not have very positive news. After installing Windows 7 on Bootcamp as a workaround as I'm using a Mac (believe me it took a good few hours, going over disk corruption etc...) I successfully installed the version 7.1.0 342 which is the latest available.
As soon as it was finished I did a factory reset on my Audi MMI but no luck, still the same error message.
Nuts32, could you let us know once your car is back from the dealer with the latest firmware for your MMI?
I'll contact Blackberry and come back here if any more news...

Thanks for giving it a go and keeping us updated.
I cant help thinking that as the phone has rSAP capability, this must be something that is down to the secutity settings on the BB9900. BB support must have some clue as to the changes from the previous verisions that allow access to the current version that does not.
The previous Blackberrys that people have mentioned that work are on Blackberry 7os so it cant be that version 6 of the OS works and version 7 does not......

Hi All. The definitive answer is the the problem lies with Rim. I have connected several devices via rSAP to my Audi MMI all working correctly and as they should with full functionality of the Sim transfer to the car phone. However since upgrading my phone to BB 9900 I can only connect via the standard Bluetooth connectivity and not rSAP. I have changed my phone back to the older model BB curve 8520 and everything now is working again in my Audi MMI system. Contacting rim to discuss this problem is impossibly.
