Bold 9900 won't turn on

A developer in the forum told me to take my battery out and hold the track pad down for 5 secs 2-3 times to try and fix the track pad.

Now my 9900 won't turn on again, won't charge or be recognised on my laptop. 

Screw you Blackberry. Bring back the 3310 with twitter.

That isn't a guarenteed fix, only something to try to help troubleshoot the issue.  I recommend you take the device to the store.  I would suggest a software reload, but with a broken trackpad, i don't think this will help.

 

if you want to try it, here are two methods:

force the detection of the BlackBerry smartphone using Application Loader

(this may not work because you said the device won't turn on)
