Bold WiFi problem: Failed to Associate with Network

All of the sudden I'm having a problem connecting to my home network with my Bold.  The Bold finds the signal to my network, but when I try to connect, I get the error message "Failed to Associate with Network."  I've checked the WEP code multiple times.  And I've connected to the network many times in the past.

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!

You've probably already tried this, but anytime random strange behaviors creep in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation.

Acutally, although I had done a battery pull, your suggestion gave me an idea.  I restarted my ethernet hub, and now the Bold is connecting to it again.  Not sure if that's what did it, but it's working so I'm not going to question it.

My wifi at home works fine, but at school I get the "failed to associate with network" message. I took it to their I.T. people and they were clueless. There is no security on the network other than that it must recognize your phone's IP which has been put into their system. I've tried the battery reboot and everything else I have read on blogs. Nothing works. I'm stumped.
