Bold shutdowns

I just bought a BB Bold, and very often, the screen goes blank, the small timer/hourglass comes up and the phone freezes.  Only a shutdown and restart cures this.  The phone is about 10 days old, bought from a carrier authorised to sell it, and this has happened to me about 8 times. My friend has the same problem with his, bought about 3 days before me.

I got the exact same problem. I wonder if it is because of the WiFi, because when I turned off my WiFi, I got no problem at all. But when I turned on the WiFi that requires certificate like in Campus WiFi, sometimes the LED indicator become RED, and MY BOLD SHUTDOWN!!!


Anyone has the solution?

have you tried updating your Bold with the new handheld software? 4.6.0. You can download it from the Blackberry website.
