Bold

Hi guys when i connect my BB to my pc its not coming up under My Computer can anyone assist?please

What if you open Blackberry desktop manager and connect the device?

tried it then they ask 4 the password when i type the password and hit enter the drives still doesnt shows up in My Computer

Which password?, if you have a password in the device remove it and try again.

not getting the option to disable the password its jus saying enabled and it has a small red lock on the left side of it

Hi,

 

Just a basic few points here:

 

- The BB wont be listed under My Computer. Its not a hard drive.

- You willl need to install the software that came with the phone for your computer to recognise it.

 

IF however you have a media card in the device, then on the device it will ask if you want to turn on Mass storage Mode. Select yes.

 

NOW your PC should have a drive show.

 

But,

If you want to put files/tones/music/etc onto the device so you can use them on the BB then you will need to use the Media Manager that is in the Desktop Manager.

 

so:

- install the CD.

- start the Desktop Manager 4.6.

- Follow the prompts until you get 'Connected" in the Title bar of Desktop Manager.

- Click on Media Manager

 

Now you can browse the memory card.

I can browse frm Media Manager that is in the Desktop Manager but when transfering music its real slow so dats y i dont use it, i dont get any prompt when i plug in the ph
