Re: CAN'T TURN MY BB9900 ON

Hi el_spliff82,

Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community.

Do you have access to a computer? If you do, I would suggest trying to reload your BlackBerry® Device Software.

Since your BlackBerry® Bold™ 9900 smartphone is unable to power on, the BlackBerry® Desktop Software will unable to connect with it. Please try forcing a connection by starting a BlackBerry® Device Software reload without your battery inserted. For further steps, please see the following KB articles:

For Windows® : "How to force the detection of the BlackBerry smartphone using Application Loader" http://bbry.lv/IAfXWd

For Mac: "Unable to application load a BlackBerry smartphone showing JVM 507 or JVM 513 using BlackBerry Desktop Software" http://bbry.lv/J0V8BH

Please note that this process will remove all data from your BlackBerry® Bold™ smartphone.

Hope this helps.

-FS

Re: CAN'T TURN MY BB9900 ON

The article "How to force the detection of the BlackBerry smartphone using Application Loader" http://bbry.lv/IAfXWd

is NOT telling the full truth:

I connected my BB Bold 9000 to my PC with good USB cables and with the correct BB Desktop Manager and usb drivers on the PC.

The article above advises to double-click Application Loader, but it is grayed out / unavailable in the BDM (5.0.8) with this text

"Before you begin, verify that your current BlackBerry device is connected to your computer."

i.e. the advice in the article looks to be USELESS!

Is the BlackBerry Technical Team hiding how to overcome this situation?
