Call forwarding not showing

Hello ,

 

I have a Bold 9930, and this morning i needed the "Call forwarding function"....but according to the manual in the Option menu...Surprise no call forwarding option and also no call waiting.

I have search in all my phone but they simply aren't present....

 

Since i had some problems in the morning when the phone was fully discharged i put my sim card in another phone and used the call forwarding option....but when i returned to my blackberry...well the surprise described earlier....

 

After some research over the internet i have found and use the code ##21# for deactivate the call forwarding...

 

Well...can someone explain me what happened? And how can i activate my Call Forwarding and Waiting options?

Call Forwarding is something enabled by your mobile provider. It is on the BlackBerry as a function only if your carrier allows it. I don't know why it's present when you put your SIM in another device.

Thank you for your answer.... 

 

Exactly you point. The call forwarding worked on the other device...but not working on my device....

 

Maybe i have to enable something before those functions are available...

There is nothing on your device you can enable.
You really need to call your technical support for your carrier.

 

I know in my OWN experience, having used various carriers in the USA, some do provision this to be controlled from the device, and some do not.

I have the same problem with an unlocked Bold 9930 (Verizon) I purchased in USA and trying to use with Claro carrier in the Dominican Republic. Call forwarding options are not available under "call management " as it is in the Bold 9780 that I am replacing...Another issue I have is that all my call id is not shown in the phone I called to but as it were a private call.

Call forwarding is a service of the mobile provider whose SIM card you have in the device, as stated previously in this thread.

I used my wifes BB 9930 with my sim! There was call divert option! On closer scrutiny, I observe that my verizon branded bb does not have that feature, unlike my wifes that's not branded! I equally confirm from my network provider, who confirmed my view that the oroblem is unique with verizon branded BB 9930.

What is your exact model number on her device? Look at Options > Device > About.

 

Or on the white sticker under the battery, is hers a 9900 or 9930?


Does she also use an MTN SIM card?
