Can I set an alarm without having it show in the calendar?

When I set an alarm in the clock, it shows up as a daily entry in my BB calendar, which stays there even when I turn the alarm off.  I don't want this -- I just need one-time alarms.  Is there a way to just set an alarm and *not* have a calendar entry?  If not, does anyone know of an add-in program that does this easily (I like how easy the clock does this)?

Re: Can I set an alarm without having it show in the calendar?

I have not found a way to do that.  Not a well thought out app.

The "not so pedantic" way to set an alarm is to go to your calendar and enter your "wake up" as any other calendar entry.  Then set a reminder at that time or before it.  You may want to pick a relevant TONE on your BB for the calendar reminder.  Read that as PICK A SCREAMER!

You can do this.  Calendar, (menu) Options, General Options. Scroll right down.  Set Show Alarms to No.

Feel free to hand out Kudos and mark this a Solved if this hits the spot for you.
