Can't access drive

Hello,

 

   I am trying to get a picture from my phone to my PC. I used to be able to go into the drive VIA USB cable and "My Computer." Now my Blackberry drive does not show up under the "My Computer" section anymore. The other drive from the phone is there, but not the one I need.

 

I store everything on my phone because I do not have an SD card in this phone.

 

If I go to the import pictures from phone to PC, it tells me there are no new pictures to upload.

 

I am using Desktop messenger 7.1.0.37

I am using BB Software 7.1.0 Bundle 2123

To simplify, have you tried simple emailing yourself the picture from your BlackBerry?

Yes, I can and have emailed the picture to myself. That is not an issue. I would just like access is all. It seems easier to me this way. Especially if I have multiple pictures I need to send. Or if I need to zip those pictures to send them.

Yes, I understand the base issue... BUT, knowing you can access and email the picture answers a question I had about the folder or picture being hidden, etc. There was a reason I asked that.

 

So, no media card, and you're saving the pictures from the camera to the 9930's media space.

 

Can you check this setting on your BlackBerry?

 


To enable media card support on the BlackBerry smartphone running BlackBerry® 6 and BlackBerry® 7
 
  1. From the Home screen of the BlackBerry smartphone, click Options then Device then Storage.
  2. Check Media Card Support.
Note: When the BlackBerry smartphone is plugged into the computer the following prompt may be displayed on the BlackBerry smartphone, Blackberry device is plugged in. Once this prompt is displayed choose USB Drive.

Thanks again for the reply. But same thing. The check box was already checked. 

I guess I am destined not to use the my computer section.
