Hello!

I have been trying to upgrade my BB Bold 9700 to OS 6. Ive been having difficulties doing it. I have upgraded a similar defice prior, however this specific unit cannot be upgraded. Are there any reasons why a specific device cannot be upgraded to OS 6?

Hey!! Try to visit this link & select your carrier, then select your mobile device.. once done download the latest software bundle available for your device... and then, install the device software, then connect the device to the computer & simply update..

Note: before you update, please search for a file named "vendor.xml" (if I'm not mistaken) & delete it.. it should be under that folder where you've installed the device software...

Thanks for the reply. I have tried downloading the Desktop software and the device OS from this link but i still can't update my device .

Are you sure that you've taken the proper software according to your provider & deleted the vendor.xml file before connecting the device??

yes, i did. i was told that there were versions of th BB 9700 that has issues with OS 6. im not sure if my device is one of those
