The 9790 has more onboard memory (768 MB vs. 512 MB in the 9780). Other than that, they're very similar in every respect.
I hope that helps you. ![]()

I think you would find the 9790 is the better device overall:
9790: OS 7 (7.1 with many carriers) vs 9780: OS 6 (cannot upgrade to OS 7)
9790: Trackpad + Touch screen vs 9780: Trackpad only
The 9790 is also somewhat thinner, very slightly lighter, a sleeker styling. The 9780 has a slight edge in battery life. Even if the touchscreen doesn't ring your bell, the smoother OS 7 experience alone should tip the balance.
If you want to do a side-by-side comparison of specs, go to Blackberry.com, select "Devices" > "Blackberry Bold". You'll see the full Bold line-up. Hover over the device name, and select "Compare" on each. You'll get a side-by-side comparison. That will give you a clearer picture.
Hope this helps. ~ecm

So the 9780 battery will last longer than the 9790 if I'm connected to BIS non stop? IS the 768MB the application storage or just RAM? Thanks in advance.
