Received an email regarding my yahoo address access via BlackBerry, indicating I have to verify my password to continue receiving emails via my device. However, despite multiple re-boots, cannot access email settings in the Setup menu. When I click email settings, it says "connecting to email settings" for several minutes. Eventually an error message indicates that "Your device had a problem connecting to the server." Retry or Cancel. Retry produces the same result. So what's up? How do I fix this? Can't get my yahoo emails via my device now. Thanks for your help!

Are you all on T-Mobile?
If yes, they an RIM are aware of this issue. I and a few others have a ticket in with RIM about this. They have no idea when it will be fixed. Most annoying. I should have stayed with Verizon...

i called Tmobile about this issue. the entire session was so stupid and a big waste of time. each support level does a certain action then if that does not solve the problem i am passed to the next level. the first level, he asks me to take the battery out and reboot. it did not solve the problem. then i get passed to their BB specialist who is so talkative! she asks me to do the same thing again!! while she sends new service books. it did not solve the problem. both levels did not know what is going on with this issue although i told them that numerous people have reported the same problem. i get passed to RIM and a case number is opened. the guy sounds like he knows what he is doing but he does not. he tells me to do the same thing remove the battery but this time i had to delete a service book while he sends a new one. it did not work. then he tells me that the issue is known and it should be resolved in 2 days. WHAT A WASTE of TIME! the entire process is so stupid! i hate first level support, they are of no use! it was such an awful experience. the guy from RIM also was implying that it was my fault in a way bec i have so many emails in my yahoo account. i told him that it is working fine since last year so what is the problem? **bleep**!! my next phone will not be a BB that's for sure

hello
the solution to the yahoo email and the email setup app problems on the BB Bold 9700 OS 5 (provider tmobile) is to upgrade to OS 6. i just did that and i was able to access the email setup app and setup a connection to my yahoo account. i dont know if this is issue was done to make people upgrade their OS on the BB
hope this helps !!
