Cannot make a payment in App World

Using OS6 with Blackberry Bold 9650 on Verizon

 

When I try to purchase an app from App World, I get an error message (11300) that the payment system isn't available and try again later. This has been going on for a while. Is there another issue going on?

 

I have wi-fi connectivity, strong 3G signal, and BB services.

I don't know about the error number but I there seems to be a possible solution here http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-App-World-General/Blackberry-app-world-keeps-sayin...

It says to make sure your time on the device is set to automatically update.

Can you log in or download a free app?

The "time" trick didn't help.

 

I can log in. I can download free applications. I get the error message whenever I try to purchase any application.

Hmmm, I am suspecting a similar situation I had with a 10000 error code. Do you have a payment plan with a credit card and or Paypal account set up in app world?

On a whim, I re-entered my credit card information and now things are working. It had sounded like some kind of connectivity problem, but I think it was just associated with payment method. Reminder to all developers to make sure your error messages are clear and accurate! :smileyhappy: Thanks for the help!

O cool, glad it works. I know how frustrating this is. I had gone for over a year not being able to purchase anything (error 10000). The current work around is to disassociate the bank #s and open with a new Paypal. It ends up being Digital River problem who are the $$ company that handles the payment system. :\
