Complaint

Dear Blackbery Team

I purchased my first Blackberry from Orange on Sunday 23rd
October 2011. Having wanted a Blackberry for some time I was excited to
purchase the new Blackberry Bold 9900. My choice to move to Blackberry has
proved hugely disappointing and I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction
with the handset I received.

Within days of purchasing my new handset the message alerts
stopped working and I was unable to turn the internet on and receive emails. Removing
the battery seemed to temporarily fix the problem but obviously struck me as a
little odd. I went back to the provider expressing my concerns and was reassured it
was just a ‘glitch’..but less than a week later it happened again - another
trip back to the provider and I was again reassured that the phone was fine and
told that because removing and re-inserting the battery had resolved the
problem, there was nothing further they could do. Then yesterday (16th
November) my phone wouldn’t turn on. Going back to the provider once again,
they confirmed it was no longer functioning. I have been without a phone for two
days, unable to confirm work appointments, receive and make hugely important
calls. I have lost all my contacts, my photos
and downloads, my screen protector...I am not able to receive the new handset
until after 6pm this evening and have had to cancel important plans in order to
be in to receive it.

I was so excited to purchase your ‘best ever phone’ only to
experience disappointment after disappointment. I am deeply dissatisfied with
the handset and my experience of Blackberry to date. I have lost time from
work, lost money in travel to and fro the provider and in the purchase of a
screen saver and now I have lost all my contacts. I have had many phones over
the years and have never experienced any handset problems – switching to such a
sophisticated new phone I feel deeply disappointed with what has turned out to
be a nightmare purchase.

Just to clarify, the only people who will be responding here are other users just like you.  We love BlackBerry phones, we know a thing or two about them and we try to help out where we can.

 

I'm sad to hear of your woes.  True, the Bold 9900 has been touted as one of the finest phones from BlackBerry and for most people, it's a great phone.  There are some issues currently of which RIM is aware.  They are working to resolve the issues at hand.  Until they do, it's a waiting game.  I know that's not what you want to hear, but you'll just have to trust me that BlackBerry is a good brand of phone and every phone manufacturer is entitled to the odd mistake.

Thanks for your response.

 

I guess whats frustrating is there doesnt seem to be any route you can use to address Blackberry directly...I just keep getting put onto forums. My new handset is now playing up and im not sure what to do. Its jumbling up all my text messages as and when i receive them and is continually flashing red ..any suggestions?

I have the same problem with my bold at this moment not a big fan of blackberry!!!! Will never get a bb again
