I have a Blackberry Bold 9650 with the latest update and it was working fine. When connected to a PC, I was able to see the phone as an external drive and was able to copy or drag/drop files from “Camera Pictures” and “Picture Library.” However, I saw only the phone memory and NOT the 2GB media card as a separate drive in Windows.
I have Desktop Manager with the latest update and it was working but rarely used.
I performed a full back up using Desktop Manager and here is the result:

I would suggest enabling mass storage mode, this needs to be enabled if you want to access the microsd card on the PC.
