Conflict between Blackberry Bold and PlayBook

I have been advised that the reason why I cannot get e-mails pushed through to my Bold is that my PlayBook is preventing it. The suggestion made is that I wipe my PlayBook  completely  so that the Bold takes priority. This seems to take away the benefit of having the pad. Has anyone else came across this problem ?

Hi and Welcome to the Community!

I disagree...the PB and the BB are each just, in a simplistic sense, email clients. Unless your server has some limit to the number of clients that are allowed access, there should be no conflict with having them both (and more!!) accessing the same server/mailbox.

So, I'm not sure where you received that advice, but I disagree (with the one caveat already mentioned). Of course, with such limited details, it's impossible to know anything further.

Thanks for the help. I thought this advice was a bit suspect, it seemed too easy a solution ie just wipe my Playbook and only get e-mails on my Bold. This defeated the point of getting the Playbook and trying to stay within the Blackberry system.

As point of reference, with GMail, I at one time had it integrated to my Z10, two separate computers (one with Outlook 2007, the other with Outlook 2010), my PlayBook, and an Android smartphone...no issues whatsoever. I still run in that configuration, sans the Droid (which I have decommissioned and sold away).
