Contact list freezes the whole system

When I try to use my contact list I can scroll down to the name I want but as soon as I press the cursor the entire device freezes up and I cannot escape the contact page or call up the information I'm looking for. I restart the phone by holding down the off icon and when I restart the phone the following message comes up..."uncaught exception: Application net_rim_bb_addressbook_app (2010) is not responding: process terminated." What do I do now?

Please Restart your device in this Manner while your Device Powered On remove the battery wait a min. then re-insert it back.After reboot see if error appears.

 

If error persist then please recall if you have installed a new application recently before this error appeared , If you have then uninstall those application that you think might be responsible for this error.
