Contacts lost in upgrade

After failed installation of upgrade sent by BB, contacts don't show up.  I know they're in there somewhere, because when I look at recent phone calls and hit "view ... contact" it's all there.  How can I get the contact info that's there to link with the Contacts icon.  (I can't get my Outlook Contacts from computer to sync properly either; Outlook data is almost as current as contacts data in phone; would prefer to use the contact data that's somewhere in my phone, as it's more current than outlook data in computer.)

Hello AvlBB and welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.

 

Do you have a SIM card in your device? If so, go to your Contacts>Menu>SIM Phone Book and see if your contacts are listed. If so, hit Menu and Copy to Address Book.

 

As for the issue with Outlook, can you elaborate on the problem you are experiencing? Do you get an error? If so, what's that error?
