when you asked me whether in DEFAULT SERVICES there is a contact option.. i said no. there 2 options and they are :

1. no it just shows Calender (CICAL) under which it shows my email .
2. it shows messaging (cmime) under which it shows me my email

no conatct list 

ANd then you asked me to reboot. i did the same. there was no address book related option in database sizes. so i meant THINKING now what to do  

 Nothing seems to solve this. i guess tried everything possible.

At your Options > Security > Information, what is on that screen?

It just shows My EMAIL ADDRESS. also only 10-15 of my contacts are visible and above that the screen is blank. should create a back up and format my phone and then restore again ? will that help ? and will my back up be created on d desktop manager as well as using bb protect even after my contacts are not visible ?
