Damsel in distress!!

Hi,

 

I have a BB Bold and have had the white screen of doom.

 

I have some important stuff on Memos. I can't get into the device and I'm taking it to 02 tomorrow and they will no doubt re-load the software. My partner tried this last night and it didn't work.

 

Now the memos are they saved on the memory card or am I going to lose these and the info???

Have you done a sync to copy your data onto your desktop and then a full backup using Blackberry Desktop Manager?   You should do that before you take it to O2 to be fixed.  As you say, they are likely to wipe your device clean, so if you have a backup you will at least be able to reload those important memos.

If you haven't sync'd with a coumputer or made a backup already, and you can't get the device to connect to Desktop Manager at this time, then you will lose your data.

I highly recommend installing BB Protect to prevent important data loss in the future. It can be downloaded from AppWorld.

No it hasn't been connected to a PC or backed up.

 

Can I do this now whilst it has the white screen up????

You can certainly try. It can't hurt. The problem is that Desktop Manager may not connect to it but its worth a shot.

The media likely contains your pictures, videos, voicenotes, etc. It just depends on where you were saving that data.
