Delay in getting Yahoo! email

I'm experiencing long delays in having Yahoo-based email delivered to my BB.  The delays are often several hours.  I'm using two different Yahoo! email accounts and the problem persists with both. 

 

I'm a newbie but any help would be appreciated.
