Desktop Manager 7.1 new Outlook sync trying to delete all previous Calendar entries

I just updated my Desktop Manager from v6 to 7.1.  Seems that RIM has replaced Intellisync with something new. I was thanking my lucky stars, until I realized that during the Outlook to Device sync, DM was trying to delete all my historic calendar entries (over 2,000 of them) even though I've set my Calendar option to keep appointments "Forever".

What's up with that?

I am having EXACTLY the same problem! I can't pick & choose what to sync and want old calendar items to remain on my Bold.

Is anyone responding to this problem?
