Disabling bold 9900 touchscreen

Hi, when on a call the touch screen against my ear keeps putting the call on hold and dialling a different person. 5 times today during 10 business calls so unprofessional. I fear I am going to jump on it next time. Please tell me how to disable touch screen. Thanks

Natively on the phone, you cannot disable the touchscreen.  Luckily, there are third-party apps that will do that for you.  Have a look at TalkLock, one of the more popular ones:

The app is quite well reviewed in BlackBerry World and it's free.

I think your phone face proximity sensor is not working. Replace your face proximity sensor.
