Hi,
Is there any chance to synchronize Docs to go by RIM (7.0) with my PC? Dataviz software seems not to be suitable anymore? Thanks!

Hey swingrider,
Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
Thanks for the question.
Documents to Go can not synchronize with BlackBerry® Desktop Software 7.0.
Let me know if you have any more questions.
Cheers.

Hi,
many thanks for your response! Perhaps my answer was not clear: I have a new Bold 9790 which came with a preinstalled Documents to go software. I understand that this version is not developed by dataviz (which I formely used on my 9700) but by RIM. So I can't synchronize with the dataviz software on my desktop. Also clear. But as am working on the same documents (excel, power point etc.) on my desktop and on my BB I need a possibility to synchronize. Is there a chance to do so?
If not, would it make sense to deinstall the RIM version from my BB and to purchase the dataviz software?
Best regards and many thanks for your help!

Hey swingrider,
Thanks for the quick reply.
You can transfer the documents and spreadsheets from your computer to the BlackBerry® smartphone by using mass storage mode: www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB13564
Or you could always email the documents to yourself.
Hope this information helps.

Hi ViciousFerret,
Thanks for the reply but unfortunately it doesn't answer my question. I don't want to transfer manually documents from my BB to my laptop/desktop ot the other way round. Of course this is a possible way and I know how to do it but it's much to time consuming and there is a high risk for mistakes (e. g. "have I really transferred the latest version of the documents?" etc.)
Let me show a real life example: I'm a sales guy and do travel a lot. There are many documents I'm steadily working with on my Blackberry (Price lists, expense reports etc.). When I formerly returned to my desk I did a synchronization (Dataviz) with my PC. I could then open the document and continue work either on my PC or my BB, both docs were the same.
With your proposal I have to transfer all documents I changed on my BB to my PC and then I have to transfer Documents I changed on my PC to my BB. That's not convenient and again there is a high chance for mistakes. Of course I could always connect my BB to my PC and then work only on the document which is filed in my BB. But that's also not practical.: I'm using my laptop in planes, taxis ...
Can you see my problem or do I have a reasoning problem?

Hey swingrider,
Thanks for the reply. I do understand the issue that you're experiencing.
I'm looking online and see the latest Dataviz Desktop Software is from 2009 and nothing else is new. Also the BlackBerry Desktop Software 7.0 or 7.1 does not synchronize documents to the computer.
You may want to look online if there is any other options. But currently the only one I would suggest is the mass storage option.
Cheers.
