Dollar sign not recognised in password after OS upgrade

My password contains the dollar sign, the key at the righthand bottom corner, next to the Enter key.

After upgrading to the new OS today, this character is not recognised as valid; the other characters are shown as stars but this one is not and I am at my last attempt.

Using the alt key also does not do the trick.

I never had any problems with this character before the upgrade ...

Hi Ron,

I am not quite sure what you mean. Normally, I had to log on first with a numerical password and then with an alphanumerical one. I am referring to the second password.

Yesterday I followed a tip on the internet, logging on to my phone via the desktop software and typing the dollar sign via my laptop keyboard. Unfortunately, this was also not recognised and now my phone is swiped ... all my photos, audio, and enterprise settings gone.

I am at a loss now what to do.
