Download hung up

Hey there. Have a 9650 Bold running OS 6. Recently got a message from Blackberry on the phone that a new version of Blackberry App World was available and asked if I wanted to download and install it. I told it to go a head and download. Download started then hung. Won't complete the download and the installation. Has been this way for several days now. Everytime I go to the currently installed BB App World and then go to "my world" the new version of the BB App World is still sitting there with a bar running and it says "starting download".  It's stuck and I don't know how to stop it and get it out of the loop it's in to try the down load again( or not ). Please ...if any one has a suggestion, let me know.

I would try taking the battery out and then powering up again.
