Downloading Blackberry App World "Mode Not Available"

[ Edited ]

So, don't ask me how but I accidentally deleted my blackberry app world off of my phone. I really need it back so I decided to redownload it. But the problem is that it doesn't matter whether I try downloading it directly from my phone or my computer, either way the website for the download keeps saying:
"Downloads via a USB connection are not enabled for this product. Please visit our mobile download site using the browser on your BlackBerry® smartphone."
I really don't know what to do if the website itself is not working. Please help!
By the way, I have a Blackberry Bold 9700, thanks!

Hi mfy94,

You should download it from your BlackBerry Browser. Make sure you have data service plan or wifi.

Uninstall it to your BlackBerry and perform hard reset.

Try it. Thanks.

Good luck!

Re: Downloading Blackberry App World "Mode Not Available"

I'm having the same problem with my Curve 8520. Wether I access through my computer or my phone I always get that message saying "mode not available".
I really needed to use Appworld. Were you able to solve the problem already?

Re: Downloading Blackberry App World "Mode Not Available"

It opens the page giving me the download options: from my blackberry phone or through my desktop computer. It's when I click it and follow the instructions in that page that the message: "mode not available" appears.

Are you using your  BlackBerry browser OR using your PC browser or opera ?

Do you have an active data plan which allow you to browse through your device Browser ( Not Opera ) ?

Hi there,

The above link to download BlackBerry world will only work from our Device ( BlackBerry ) native browser ( not Opera ) . If you don't have sufficient data plan and want to install BlackBerry world using a computer then try this KB Article :

KB31325 : How to install or update the BlackBerry App World application using a Computer system.
