Email frequency eating up my battery

HI...is there a way to cut down the number of times that the phone checks my email account (now it's constant)....this is eating up my battery.

Hi and Welcome to the Community!

Nope...it is set. But, it should not be doing anything with your BB unless there really is some new thing to push to the BB. The way that BBs work, the BIS service does all the work with your email service, only "talking" to the BB when there is something that needs to come to the BB. The BB itself is not even involved in the "check for new stuff" activity. So, unless you receive a ton of email (and it's therefore delivering new email constantly), I doubt that it's email that i consuming your resources.
