Email not receiving or reconciling, cannot acesss email account managment program either!

Hi everyone, I really need some help with this, its driving me insane! I have a sprint blackberry bold 9930, 7.1 Bundle 1737 (v7.1.0.580 platform 5.10.429), free space is listed at 154523817 bytes.

I have my email through godaddy, which is secureserver.net. It is an IMAP email service. Since Friday or Saturday, my emails will not automatically push. Sometimes it would take hours upon hours before all my emails would pour in at once. Battery pull was working, but now battery pull does nothing.

I've tried sending the service books today, but now, I cannot even access the Email Account Management option to send the service books. When I enter the application, it says "checking for updates" but never recovers. I've left it on for 10 minutes today and it will continue to say, "checking for updates."

Anyone else having issues or know what in the world is going on all of a sudden? Any help is tremendously appreciated!

Re: Email not receiving or reconciling, cannot acesss email account managment program either!

Hi and Welcome to the Community!!

I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2 each should result in a message coming to your BB...please wait for that before proceeding to the next step):

1) Register HRT

  • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with the wireless network
  • Please wait for one "registration" message to arrive to your Messages app

2) Delete and Resend Service Books

  • KB05000Delete the service book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account from the BlackBerry smartphone
  • If you have no CMIME entry, then skip the deletion
  • KB02830 Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service
  • Please wait for "Activation" Messages, one per already configured email account, to arrive in your Messages. If you have no already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

3) Batt Pull Reboot

  • With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.

Hopefully that will get things going again for you! If not, then you should contact your mobile service provider for formal support.

Is that the exact and complete error message? For I can find nothing of use from jost those 3 words... It may be that the email setup app has a problem...this KB might help:

  • KB26055 Unable to access the Email Setup Application on a BlackBerry smartphone after a forced update

Good luck!

In that case, you need to do as I recommended above already:

  • "If not, then you should contact your mobile service provider for formal support."

Good luck!
