Email status does not change

When I read my email on my PC, the email on my blackberry still shows unread. Any specific configuration that I need to do?

Hi mohitdewan

 

How do you have your email configured on your BlackBerry® smartphone?  Are you using POP or IMAP?  Also, how do you read your email on your computer?

Hi

 

I am using 2 email id's - one gmail and another co. domain running on google apps. Till now I was using Nokia where if I read a mail on handheld, it showed "read" on desktop and vice versa.

 

I have IMAP on for both mail id's although while configuring mails on BB in India, there is no option for IMAP or POP.

 

Currently, If I read a mail on my handheld, it shows "read" on my desktop but the reverse does not happen. I understand that in BB, I can configure only one i.e. handheld wins or mailbox wins. Is there a way I can configure either one??
