OR maybe a trick to force the phone to enter some other mode in witch i can connect it and fix this problem... I'm now allmost conviced that this is some type of software problem

Hi,

 

I have been able to go thru.

 

I have opened the phone and clean it very very good with alcohol. Put in back togeather and after insterting battery, the phone went thru with wiping proces, it has finished to wiping 100% and has reloaded. Now after reloading I get an ERROR 507, it sais that I should install fresh copy of OS but there is still an USB connection problem. So I guess the problem was in oxydation from time...

 

Now new problem occurs/one of old one still remains...

 

The phone does not get recognised by computer (have tryed couple computers with couple different cables) not even "USB sound". Anybody got a clue?

 

Should I try do resolder USB connection maybe some crack in solder making problems?

Well, that's good.. I knew it had to complete that wipe before it would do anything else.

 

So, can you /have you, tried a different USB cable?

A different USB port?

A different PC?

Any way to copy the OS to SD card and install it on the device?

 

Tomorow I will go and buy a new USB cable if still doesnt connect, anyway to install fresh OS without USB connection?

No, not from the SD card.

 

OS/Install and Upgrade methods are:

  • OTA Over The Air, wirelessly from your mobile provider
  • Via a USB connection and running the BlackBerry Desktop Software
  • Via a USB connection and running the loader.exe file found in the installed OS files folder

A new USB cable helped.. I can't imagine why old one doesnt work anymore.. device connected.. now i'm doing the update thru Desktop Software and everything seems OK..
