since a few days, my E-Mails don´t show up in the E-Mail-folder anymore. The 9700 seems to receive the (the counter on top goes up) them, but they are no longer displayed
Sometimes I get this message:
"Uncaught exception: Application net_rim_bb_messaging_app (208) not responding: process terminated"

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.

No, sorry, this doesn´t help. Still the sign for new unread messages, but nothing in in the folder. Looks like the BB receives mails , but cannot display them any longer.
And often the error message I quoted.

Could have a corrupt email or a message that the deice does not like.
Use a different client/web mail to see if this is the case and move the message to a different folder possibly.
BESAdmin's, please make a signature with your BES environment info.
