Hello,

I have BB 9790 and I need to load new FW, because I need HotSpot function. When I go to the settings --> Devices --> Update sw - nothing founded.

I have FW version 7.0.0. and people says, that is version nr. 7.1.x

Could u help me please?

Hi,

Please download & install latest firmware from www.BlackBerry.com under support section. Open BlackBerry Desktop Manager and connect your device with PC using USB cable.

Once BDM detect your handheld then it will prompt you to upgrade FW. Hope this will help you..!!

So, I have a problem :-/

Step by step: Turn on BB desktop SW --> Tap on device and update --> BB desktop sw says - Any updates isn't here.

What the?

I looking on main page and software version is 7.00 :-(

I don't understand it :-(

Hope you have installed the latest firmware::---

Further, Go to My Computer : C Drive > Programme files > Common files > Research In motion > App Loader > Loader.exe

Now Double click on loader.exe, it will Open a window and will prompt you to Re-install OS.

Note: I would suggest you to take complete backup before proceeding

I did it, but nothing happend I still have version 7.00 :-/

At the same location in Crive > Pro* files > Common files > RIM > App Loader > Delete vendor.xml file.

Restart yoru machine & then try again. Better to try with BlackBerry Desktop Manager, as if you installed 7.1 firmware then it should detect it automatically.
