Re: Facebook, Twitter, Myspace Error Message.

AW 3.1.1.21 is now installed.
So if i can only see 58. does that mean thats the only Facebook version?

Re: Facebook, Twitter, Myspace Error Message.

Sorry...again to be clear, you updated to the new AW. Then you did the Clear Cache process? And it worked exactly as I described it needed to? And that did not change the version of FB that it is offerring? And you did all of that in exaclty the order that I wrote here?

Not necessarily. It might mean that .58 is all that is available to you, based on your BB OS level. It also might mean that, if you didn't fully succeed with the Clear Cache process, that it's just still "stuck".

I find that my having .61 to be actually quite odd indeed...but, then again, I'm on a much more advanced BB OS level than you are.

Re: Facebook, Twitter, Myspace Error Message.

I just tried what you did. Creating a new album and uploading a photo and same as u it worked... Photo uploiaded. But not uploading to my normal albums I already have, the album I'm trying to upload my photos too has 185 photos in it already, and my other album that isn't wotking either has 100 photos, both won't let me upload too. But as I mentioned If I created a new album the photos upload and work. What could the problem be?

[ Edited ]

Oh shoot...I'm sorry. I think I missed that there are two of you here...I may have mixed up my responses, thinking I was replying to one when it was actually the other. Too easy to do...apologies. Nevertheless, I think that the same information applies to both, so all I ask is that, wherever we are in the process in the thread, that you both keep up with that and have done all of the prior things as well. If you get off track, say so and be sure to get my attention (and make sure I know that it's one of you and not the other). Apologies again...

I have some recollection of a 100-image limit of some kind at FB. But, in the test I ran earlier, that image went to one of my (several!) "Mobile Uploads" albums on FB that already had 100 images in it...and the one I put in my test was number 101. But I definitely recall, from sometime in the past (and that could be a few years!!) that there was something about a 100 image limiter. But I thought it automatically created a new FB album, though still called Mobile Uploads (hence the reason I have several of those!).

Have you tried uploading to an existing album that has less than 100 images in it already? You (livbaybee1) said you tried with two albums, both with 100 or more...I'm wondering what happens if you try an existing album with less than 100.

BTW -- I've no idea what the problem could be...from all that's described, it sounds like something deep in the FB app coding and/or something deep in FB itself...neither of which I have any access to or deep insight of. Hence, the workarounds I suggested earlier...I gave up on direct uploading via the FB app long ago due to erratic results.

Re: Facebook, Twitter, Myspace Error Message.

Lol no worrys, easy mistake to make. Well I've tried uploading to my one album (which is named 'my baby boy kai' , which has photos of my son in) , That album has 195 photos in , when I try uploading photos through my blackberry to this album its not working, but if I upload photos to this album another way, such as through uploading photos from my laptop to this facebook album the photos upload fine ,just not through my blackberry , I also have a mobile uploads album which has 100 photos in and that's not working either through my blackberry. As I mentioned above it works other ways such as uploading photos frm my laptop to facebook albums but not blackberry to facebook. Only way its working from my blackberry is when I just created a new album ,uploaded photos from my blackberry and its worked ,so don't understand. Like you said its most likely to be a facebook problem somehow

Re: Facebook, Twitter, Myspace Error Message.

OK, so I don't recall the 100 image limit having anything to do with any other method...I only recall it affecting uploads via the BB FB app.

So, what livbaybee1 tried was only to existing albums with more than 100 in them already...and the results are consistent with all we've tried so far. But, what coleenD reports is that this also fails with an album of only 97 images. So that seems to blow my theory away...any already existing album on FB seems to be unable to receive an image from your BB FB app. Strange indeed.

Well, given all of that, I guess I'd suggest that you do the following:

  1. From the BB FB app, upload an image, creating a new album
  2. Use that new album as the destination for all image uploads from your BB
  • Hmmm...now that get's me to thinking...have we tried this? Have either of you been able to upload a second time to an album created from the first BB upload?

You also can use one of the workarounds I discussed somewhere above...use the FB Mobile site (via the BB Browser) or use email as your method to send images to FB.
